For my first zine, I started with 31 #inktober sketches (though I didn’t end up using all of them). I organized the scans into thematic groups—pairing drawings that relate to one another. Then, I crafted statements to accompany each group. After editing the scans and statements in Photoshop, I arranged them so they would flow cohesively on each page. I printed out the layouts, folded them, and assembled them into a tiny zine. The process involved a lot of trial and error, which led to using more copy paper than I had anticipated! I completed this piece in December 2020.
